Mrs. Zola Fields, age 86 of Fogertown, passed away Sunday, March 29th, 2009 at the Laurel Heights Home for the Elderly. She was born December 13th, 1923 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Robert & Amanda Wilson Murray. She was a homemaker and a member of the Burning Springs Church of God.
She is survived by the following children: Kermit Fields & wife Janice of London, Kentucky, Jennings Fields & wife Phyllis of Fogertown, Earl Dean Fields & wife Shirley of London, & Bennie Fields & wife Debbie of Tyner, Kentucky. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren: Kermit Fields, II, Jennings Russell Fields, Christopher Shawn Fields, Sarah Amanda Adams, Charles Randall Fields, Shonna Latosha Sizemore, Jay Phillip Fields, Benjamin Joshua Fields, Wesley Donovan Adams, Tammy Dixon, & Amy Reynolds. Also surviving are 18 Great Grandchildren & these sisters & brother: Vida Thompson of Burning Springs, Georgia Deaton of London, Bobbie Colwell of Indiana, & Bill Murray of Kingston, Kentucky.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Robert & Amanda Murray, her daughter: Vietta Fields, & these brothers & sisters: Arthur Murray, Dallas Murray, Sam Murray, Hobert Murray, Elva Buttery, Mary Rice, & Maxie Rice.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Zola Fields will be Wednesday, April 1st 2009 at 11 AM at the Burning Springs Church of God. Rev. Dale Payne & Rev. Bobby Couch will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Tanyard Cemetery in the Tanyard Community of Fogertown.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 31st, after 6 PM at the Burning Springs Church of God.
