Wilma Jean Salyers Segar

Wilma Jean Salyers Segar, age 59, of Lexington, formerly of Manchester, passed away Sunday, May 2nd, 2010 at the St. Joseph East Hospital in Lexington. She was born November 13th, 1950 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Claude and Holly Cash Salyers. She was a Telephone Operator for Verizon and a member of the Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons: Craig E. Salyers and Philip A. Segar both of Lexington, 2 grandchildren, her companion: Frank Hester, Jr. of Lexington, these brothers and sisters: Esther M. Moore of Lexington, Lillian Salyers of Manchester, Yiskah R. Israel of Cincinnati, Ohio, William Salyers, Bobby Joe Salyers, William Ed “Duke” Salyers, Emanuel Salyers, and Kenneth Ray Salyers all of Manchester, 2 dear friends: Teresa Gerton and Linda Handley, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Claude and Holly Salyers, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

Funeral Services for Wilma Jean Salyers Segar will be Saturday, May 8th, 2010 at 11 AM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Herman James will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Salyers Cemetery in the Blue Hole Community.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 6th, from 6:30 PM until 9 PM at the Pleasant Green Baptist Church in Lexington, and on Saturday, May 8th, after 10 AM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
