Sarah Joyce Frazier

Sarah Joyce Frazier, age 74 of Laurel Branch passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born on Tuesday, June 20, 1950 in Oneida, Kentucky to the union of Willie and Annie (Hicks) Byrd. She was a member of the Tanksley Holiness Church and worked as a cook for the Clay County Detention Center under Homer Weaver.

She leaves to mourn her children: James Frazier and wife Sharon of London, Joe Frazier and wife Nicole of London and Mary (Sis) Spurlock and husband Doug of Oneida. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Kayla Frazier, Michael Bub Spurlock, Chelsea Lou Spurlock, Brittany Woods and husband Austin, Blake “Bub” Frazier, JoJo Frazier and Kenzie Melton and her great grandchildren: Kylie Grace Coleman, Traven James Caldwell and Adalynn is on the way. Also surviving are her brothers: Kent Byrd and Lee Byrd, her sisters: Thelma Johnson, Bessie Allen, Dessie Allen and Betty Collett, her sisters-in-law: Nana Lee Allen and husband Charles of Alabama, Alpha Burns and husband Elmer of Manchester and Tinnie Hacker of Cincinnati, Ohio and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Willie and Annie Byrd, her husband: Stanley Frazier, her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Marion and Esther Frazier, her brothers: James Jimmy Byrd and Ardie Byrd and her sisters: Tottie Hensley Rosiere and Minnie Mae Woods.

Funeral Services for Sarah Joyce Frazier will be conducted on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Thomas Bishop, Rev. Shelby Deaton and James Frazier will be presiding. Burial will follow in the Spurlock Cemetery in the Laurel Branch Community.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Wednesday after 12 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
