Sanford Stewart

Sanford Stewart, age 75 passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at the Lexington VA Medical Center in Lexington, KY. He was born on Thursday, July 14, 1949 in Manchester, Kentucky to O. B. Stewart and Lula Mae (Eversole) Stewart. He was a veteran in the United States Marine Corp. He worked at Chaney Lumber Co.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife: Ruby Stewart, his children: Chastity Swafford and husband Lester, Buffy Curry Dinsmore, Lillie Eversole, Latricia Riley, Paige Courtney Stewart; these grandchildren: Samuel Eversole, Patrick Weston, Scott Goins, Lawrence Goins, Ryan Swafford, Mark Swafford, Chad Grubb, Bridgette Grubb and Josh Mills. Also surviving are these brothers and sisters: Patsy Napier and husband Wayne, Joe Stewart and wife Charlotte, Sophia Hager and husband Mike, Naomi Rayburn, Fred Stewart and wife Nancy, Tim Stewart and wife Berta Lee, Robert Stewart and wife Kathy, Gordon Stewart and wife Darlene, Danny Stewart, O. B. Stewart, Jr., Marsha Faye Elliott and one special nephew: Dustin Napier.

He is preceded in death by his parents: O. B. and Lula Mae Stewart; his sister-in-law and best friend: Mary Jane Stewart; brothers and sister: Little Katie, Little Raymond and Little Tobby and one great grandson: Keaton Goins. 

Funeral Service for Sanford Stewart will be conducted on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Kenny Smith and Scotty Jewell will be presiding. Burial will follow in the Paces Creek Cemetery.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Monday, December 16, 2024 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
