Ruth Anna (Wagers) Smith

Mrs. Ruth Anna Smith, age 59 went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.  She was born on Tuesday, July 19, 1960 in Hyden, Kentucky to Fred and Nancy Gray Wagers.  She worked for the Clay County Board of Education for over 30 years and was a member of the Community Family Church.

She leaves to mourn her passing her beloved husband Rev. Jim Smith, her daughter: Jessica Nicole Asher and her husband Brandon, her son: Freddie Dewayne Smith and his wife Emilee, her grandchildren: Brandon Bryce Asher, Jensen Colt Smith and Lincoln Jude Asher.  Also surviving is her mother-in-law: Shirley Yeary, her brother: Tim Wagers and his wife Brenda and these nieces and nephews: Christopher Wagers and his wife Shannon, Ashley Deaton and her husband Josh and Courtney Wagers.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Fred and Nancy Wagers and her brothers: Freddie Wagers and Jethro Wagers.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Ruth Anna Smith will be conducted on Friday, June 5, 2020 at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Wayne House, Rev. John Bill Culton and Rev. Terry  Shell will be presiding.  She will be laid to rest in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Friday after 12 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
