Roger Bryan Allen

Mr. Roger Bryan Allen, age 79 of Oneida went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at the AdventHealth of Manchester.  He was born on Sunday, August 20, 1944 in Oneida, Kentucky to the union of Eugene and Opal Webb Allen.  Roger was an elder and taught Sunday School for over 40 years at the Oneida Church of Christ, he worked for the Clay County Board of Education and after 35 ½ years, he retired as the Principal of the Oneida Elementary School.  Roger was also an avid outdoorsman, he loved to hunt, fish and enjoyed farming, but most of all he had a great love for his family.

He leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife: Geraldine Mobley Allen, his son: Kevin Allen and his wife Amanda, his daughter: Kimberly Allen and his granddaughter: Riley Kate Spurlock.  He is also survived by his brothers: Paul Allen and Joe Allen, his sister: Mary Elizabeth Louderback as well as a host of nieces, nephews, former students, faulty, family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Eugene and Opal Allen and his siblings: Jack Allen, Carolyn Walko, James Allen and Sue Allen.

Funeral Services for Mr. Roger Bryan Allen will be conducted on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.  Bro. William Hugh Hudson will be presiding.  Burial will follow in the Estill Davidson Family Cemetery in Oneida, Kentucky.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Saturday after 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel
