Rex Bray, Sr.

Rex Bray, Sr., age 87 entered his heavenly home on Friday, January 5, 2024 at the Landmark of Laurel Creek.  He was born on Monday, December 28, 1936 in Manchester to William and Eliza Foutch Bray.  He worked in well drilling and was a member of the Island Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife: Carol Bray, his children: Rex Bray, Jr. and wife Sondra, Judy Bray, Linda Johnson and husband Ricky and Scott Bray. Also surviving are his grandchildren: Rex Bray, III, Skylar Ferrell, Keana Bray, Isabella Bray and Stephanie Johnson, his great grandson: Noah Bray and his brother: Raleigh Bray.

He is preceded in death by his parents: William and Eliza Bray, his daughter-in-law: Melissa Bray, his brothers: Pearl Bray, Burchell Bray, Paul Bray and Lester Bray and his sister: Esther Bray.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Island Creek Missionary Baptist Church Bus Ministry. 

Funeral Services for Rex Bray, Sr. will be conducted on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. George Grigsby will be presiding. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery in the Burning Springs Community.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Tuesday after 12 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
