Mr. Ray Roberts, age 52 of the Horse Creek Community, passed away Wednesday, April 29th, 2009 at the Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born August 1st, 1956 in Corbin, Kentucky to the union of Harrison & Bessie Roberts. He was self employed at Roberts & Son “TRASH”

He is survived by his wife: Ruby Roberts of the Horse Creek Community, his son: Harrison Ray Roberts of the Horse Creek Community, special friends of the family: Darlene Roberts & Wayne Harris, & the following Nieces & Nephews: Christy Napier & husband Jamie, Jason Hampton & wife Angie, Shannon Hoskins & husband Chris, Nicole Hampton, Boo Roberts & his wife Megan, Melissa Henson & husband Johnny, Tomesa Burkhart & David Jones, Deidre Hacker & husband Tater, Doug Marcum & wife Sandra, & Cledia Sizemore. Also surviving are these great nieces & nephews: Brittany Napier, Emily Napier, Jared Napier, Logan Hampton, Bailey Hampton, Gracie Hoskins, Kaitlyn Hoskins, John Wilson, & Taylor Hampton, Ashley & Johnathon Henson, Chad Hacker, Beve “Bubba” Begley, Ashley Smith, Ethan Hacker, Thomas Randall Sizemore, Amanda Sizemore, Alexandria Marcum, & Racheal Marcum, & these great great nieces & nephews: Jaiden Dwayne Begley, Thomas Randall Sizemore, Jr., & Coy Sizemore. Also surviving are the following brothers & sisters: Margie Marcum & her husband Thomas of Ocala, Florida, Sarah Jones & her husband Beve of Manchester, Dalmas Roberts of Horse Creek, Delbert Roberts & wife Vanda of Manchester, & his sister-in-law: Liz Newman of Corbin, Kentucky.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Harrison & Bessie Roberts, his son: John G. Roberts, his sister: Madge Hauk, his brother: Randall Roberts, & his mother-in-law: Mena Massey & J.B.

Funeral Services for Mr. Ray Roberts will be Saturday, May 2nd, 2009 at 1 PM at the Horse Creek Holiness Church. Rev. George Roberts & Rev. Terry Reid will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be Friday, May 1st, after 6 PM at the Horse Creek Holiness Church.
