Mr.William "Bill" Sawyers

Mr. William "Bill" Sawyers, age 77 of Manchester, passed away Monday, September 21st, 2009 at the St. Joseph Hospital in London, Kentucky. He was born April 25th, 1932 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Joe & Lula Bishop Sawyers. He was a member of the Morgan Branch Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife: Viola Sawyers, his son: Gerald Sawyers & Trish of Laurel County, his daughter: Loretta Sawyers Collins & Randy of Manchester, & 1 grandchild: Randy Collins, Jr. Also surviving are the following brothers & sisters: Esther Smith of Manchester, Dorothy Smith of Morgan Branch, Lois Henson of Fall Rock, Arnold Sawyers of Manchester, & Wilburn Sawyers of Paris, Kentucky.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Joe & Lula Sawyers, his son: Benjamin Sawyers, 2 daughters: Wilma Sawyers, & Leettia Wilson, & these sisters: Ora Allen & Delia McWhorter.

Funeral Services for Mr. William "Bill" Sawyers will be Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009 at 2 PM at the Morgan Branch Baptist Church. Rev. Carmen Brewer & Rev. Charlie Martin will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery in the Fogertown Community.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 22nd, after 6 PM at the Morgan Branch Baptist Church.
