Mr. Wilburn Hacker, age 77 of Shepherdtown, departed this life on Friday, July 24, 2015 at the Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin, Kentucky. He was born on Tuesday, March 29, 1938 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of William and Mary Ellen Childs Hacker. He was retired from the James River Coal Company where he worked as a coal miner.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife of over 51 years: Betty Ann Parks Hacker, his beloved daughter: Angela Irene Hacker, his step-son: Johnny Wayne Caudill and his wife Melinda Marcum Caudill, his granddaughters: Kimberly Ann Caudill Allen and Danielle Sizemore, his great grandchildren: Erica Allen, Kelly Allen, Kandan Allen, John Allen, Christopher Henson, Gracelynn Goins, and Gavin Wagers. Also surviving are these siblings: Wylie Boone Hacker and his wife Wanda of London, Archie Hacker of London, Tinsley Hacker of Manchester, Bradley Hacker of Hamilton, Ohio, a special loved one: April Smith, whom he loved like a daughter, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends to mourn his passing.

He is preceded in death by his parents: William and Mary Ellen Hacker, and these siblings: McKinley Hacker, Birchel Hacker, Lillian Hacker Blanton, Delilah Hacker, Andrew Hacker, and Dovie Hacker Bowling, and a great granddaughter: Katelynn Goins.

Funeral Services for Mr. Wilburn Hacker will be conducted on Wednesday, July 29 at 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Carl Hacker and Rev. Frank Peters will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Moore and Fields Family Cemetery in the Annville Community.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
