Mr. Vernon Creed Allen

Mr. Vernon Creed Allen, age 70 of Morrow, Ohio departed this life on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at his home. He was born on Thursday, August 1, 1946 in Oneida, Kentucky to the union of Morris and Matilda Coldwell Allen. He was a truck driver and a member of the Road Run Church of Christ.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife: Sharon Allen, his children: Michelle Marie Calvert and her husband Kevin Lee and Michael Vernon Allen. Also surviving are his grandchildren: Colby Calvert and Alexis Marie Allen as well as his brothers and sisters: Virginia Barrett, Conley Allen, Alvie Jean Sester, Rose Ella Ledford, Bessie Gilbert, Morris Jr. Allen, Mary Gilbert, Hazel Jordan, Shirley Wilson and Mike Allen.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Morris and Matilda Allen, his brothers: James Marion Allen and Jennings Asher Allen and his sister: Oma Mae Byrd.

Funeral Services for Mr. Vernon Creed Allen will be conducted on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Joey Burns will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Allen Cemetery in the Patty's Rock Community.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 15 after 11 AM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
