Mr. Tommy Jones, age 50 of Georgetown, Kentucky formerly of Manchester, departed this life on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at the Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born on Thursday, November 15, 1962 in Manchester, Kentucky to the union of Joe and Verdie Roberts Jones. Tommy was former Assistant Chief of Police at the Manchester Police Department, he worked at the Manchester Police Department from August 7, 1985 until February 22, 2000, he was retired from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office where he worked from February 22, 2000 until July 31, 2005, and was employed by the Fayette County Public Schools as a police officer from September 1, 2005 until his untimely death on November 7, 2013. Tommy was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police #4 in Lexington, Kentucky and co-founder of KAPS, Kentucky Area Paranormal Society and was featured on National Geographic Television.
Tommy leaves to mourn his passing, his wife: Bobbie Jones of Georgetown, his step-daughter: Annette DiToma, and his beloved canine companions: Corky Jones and Solomon DiToma. Also surviving is his estranged daughter: Jessica Anderson and her son Brandon Anderson, his brothers: Carl Ray Jones of Corbin and Dave Jones of London, his sisters: Marie Miller of Perryville, and Tammie Jones of Manchester, 11 nieces and nephews, a host of great nieces and great nephews, and numerous relatives and friends, and the students, staff, and fellow law enforcement members at Fayette County Public Schools.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Joe and Verdie Jones, and his brothers: Bobby Jones and Mike Jones.

A celebration of life for Tommy Jones will be held from 6 PM until 9 PM on Thursday, November 14 at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
The Fraternal Order of Police will be conducting a service from 10:30 AM until 11 AM on Saturday, November 16, at the Northeast Christian Church.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, November 16, at 11 AM at the Northeast Christian Church at 990 Starshoot Parkway, Lexington, Kentucky. The Lexington FOP #4 will be conducting a service as well as Pastor Tommy Howard officiating. Burial will follow in the Georgetown Cemetery in Georgetown, Kentucky.
A time of fellowship and celebration will be held following the interment services at the Tates Creek Middle School.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9 AM until the funeral hour at 11 AM at the Northeast Christian Church in Lexington, Kentucky.
