Mrs. Virginia Hacker, age 76 of Manchester, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at the Laurel Creek Health Care Center. She was born on Saturday, August 28, 1937 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Eugene and Martha Nicholson Tipton. She worked in the Health Care Industry and was a member of the holiness faith.
She is survived by her loving children: Kathleen Kindred of London, Kentucky, Carol Dean Hacker of Manchester, Kentucky, Donna Jean Brock of London, Kentucky, D. Y. Hacker, Jr. of Louisville, Kentucky, Danny Ray Hacker of London, Kentucky, and Julius “Tater” Hacker of Manchester, Kentucky. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, her sister: Elizabeth Abner of Manchester, Kentucky and her brother Kenneth Tipton of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Mrs. Hacker is preceded in death by her parents: Eugene and Martha Tipton and her husband: D. Y. Hacker. Funeral Services for Mrs. Virginia Hacker will be conducted on Sunday, September 8 at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. John Smith will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Nicholson Cemetery in the Fogertown Community.
The family of Mrs. Hacker will receive friends after 6 PM on Saturday, September 7 at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
