Mrs. Viretta Harris Abner, age 72 departed this life on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at her home. She was born on Saturday, April 10, 1943 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of George and Thelma Smith Harris. She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Ark House of Prayer in Barbourville, Kentucky.

She leaves to mourn her passing her children: Thelma Henson of London, Barbara Harris and her husband Thomas of Manchester, Natasha Patrick of Manchester, and Ricky Patrick and his wife Jacqueline of Manchester. Also surviving are 25 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild on the way as well as her brothers and sisters: Gracie Smith of Louisville, Teddy Harris and his wife Gladys of Manchester, Estill Harris and his wife Melinda of Manchester, Charles Glenn Harris and his wife Wilma of Manchester, and Earnest Harris and his wife Susie of London.

She is preceded in death by her parents: George and Thelma Harris, her husbands: the late Oscar Patrick and the late Freddy Abner, her son: Lewis Harris, her brother: Stanley Harris and her sister: Stella Harris.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Viretta Harris Abner will be conducted on Thursday, June 11 at 12 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jimmy Wayne Smith, Rev. Paul Mitchell, and Rev. Gary Dugger will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Paces Creek Cemetery in the Paces Creek Community.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 10 after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
