Mrs. Vanilla White

Mrs. Vanilla White, age 83 of Manchester, Kentucky passed away Monday, July 13th, 2009 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital. She was born November 6th, 1925 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Harrison B. Potter & Claricy White Potter. She was secretary at the St. Ann’s Catholic Church, & a member of the St. Ann’s Catholic Church.

She is survived by her children: Jimmy L. White, Jr. of Oklahoma, Robert M. White of Kansas City, Missouri, Clarice G. Wiggins of Lexington, Kentucky, Mary W. Phifer of Woodbridge, Virginia, & Paul H. White of Salt Lake, Utah. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, & her brother: Harrison B. Potter, Jr. of Phoenix, Arizona.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Harrison B. & Claricy White Potter, her husband: Jimmie L. White, her sister: Daisy Hughes, & her brother: Garnett Clark.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Kentucky Mountain Housing Development Corporation Christian Appalachian Project.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Vanilla White will be Tuesday, July 21st, 2009 at 11 AM at the St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Father Joseph Koury will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Potter Cemetery in the Pennington Hill Community.

Visitation will be Monday, July 20th, after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
