Mrs. Sadie R. Hyden, age 79 of Oneida, departed this life on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born on January 16, 1936 in Clay County to the union of Jesse and Juleda Webb Reed. She worked in the medical field as a lab technician and X-ray tech.

She leaves to mourn her passing her children: Charlene Duff and her husband George, Marlene Grubb and her husband Ken, and Vivian Shepherd and her husband James. Also surviving are the following grandchildren and great grandchildren: Cheryl Coleman and her children: Greg and Charlsie, the children of John Duff: Destiny, Jesse, Damien, and George, Bryan Grubb and his children: Deserey and Charles, and Renee Daugherty and her children: Kierra, Hope, Faith, and Marquetta Grubb and her children: Maraylen and Kaliyah as well as these brothers and sisters: Zella Hensley, Imogene Hacker, Mary Hyde, Phyllis Hensley, Nancy Grubb, Minnie Dean, Jesse Reed, Jr., and Tommy Reed.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Jesse and Juleda Reed, her husband of over 61 years: Charles, her grandson: John Duff, and these siblings: Cecil Hensley, Betty Sue Stidham, and Joyce Gibson.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Sadie R. Hyden will be conducted on Saturday, December 19, at 1 PM at the Brown Mission Church. Rev. Henry Lloyd Deaton will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Hyden Cemetery in the Sol Hollow Community.

Visitation will be held on Friday evening after 6 PM at the Brown Mission Church.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Rominger Funeral Home.
