Mr. Spurgan Henson

Mr. Spurgan Henson, age 79 of Manchester, passed away Wednesday, August 1, at his home. He was born July 4, 1933 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Cloyd and Mattie Hinkle Henson. He was a carpenter.

He is survived by his wife: Hazel Northern Henson of Manchester, and these children: Susan Sawyers, Juanita “Babe” Hicks, both of Manchester, Homer Henson and Woodrow Henson both of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, William Henson of Lexington, Zelma Caldwell and Norma Hacker both of London, Lisa Hicks, Timothy Henson, James Henson and J. C. Henson all of Manchester, Helen Henson of London, T. J. Northern, Joyce Northern of Eminence, Kentucky, Christie Northern of Henry County, Kentucky, and Lorine Northern of Barbourville, Kentucky, and these brothers and sisters: Archie Henson, Jessie Mae Stewart, Robert Henson, Lester Henson, Edith Burchell, and Denise Carr all of Manchester, Oscar Henson of Indiana, and Roberta Lovins of Jackson County, Kentucky.

Funeral Services for Mr. Spurgan Henson will be conducted on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Archie Henson, Rev. Walter Wagers, and Rev. Paul Stewart will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Henson Cemetery in the H. M. Garrison Road Community of Manchester.

Visitation will be on Friday, August 3, after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
