Mrs. Peggy Ann Deaton, 67 of Manchester, passed away Thursday, October 6th, 2011 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist church.
She was born on July 19, 1944 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the union of Hugh and Effie Lunsford.
She is survived by her daughter: Effie Davis and her husband Wesley of Tyner, Kentucky, her son: Thorton Deaton and his wife Sharon of Burning Springs, and 2 grandchildren: Peggy Jo Davis and Destiny LeAnn Deaton. Also surviving are these brothers and sisters: Bobbi Smith and her husband Monte of Boise, Idaho, Hugh Lunsford, Jr. and his wife Pamela of Laurel Creek, Norma Perrin and her husband Pete of Manchester, Jennings Lunsford and his wife Debbie of Laurel Creek, and Kathryn Lunsford and her husband John of Island Creek, and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Henry Deaton and her parents: Hugh and Effie Lunsford.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Peggy Deaton will be Sunday, October 9th, 2011 at 2 PM at the Liberty United Baptist Church. Rev. Chris Roberts and Bro. Dale Wyatt will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Lunsford-Morgan Cemetery in the Laurel Creek Community.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 8th, from 6 PM until 9 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
