Mrs. Nannie Pearl Minton

Mrs. Nannie Pearl Minton, age 85 of Little Goose, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013 at her home. She was born March 18, 1928 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Charlie and Lucy Owens Proffitt. She was retired from the Clay County Board of Education where she worked in Food Service, and a member of the Lebanon United Baptist Church.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband: Arnold Minton, her children: Lawrence and his wife Bonnie Minton of Orange Park, Florida, Clifford Minton and his wife Geneva of Manchester, Wanda Jarvis and her husband Jimmy Wayne of Manchester, and Brenda Allen and her husband Roy Glenn of Manchester. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Charlie and Lucy Proffitt, and these brothers and sisters: Theo Proffitt, Ulysses Proffitt, Willie Proffitt, Leonard Proffitt, Sally Hinkle, Lillie Martin, Rosie Fowler, Martha Proffitt, and Nancy Proffitt.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Nannie Pearl Minton will be conducted on Wednesday, June 26 at 2 PM at the Lebanon United Baptist Church. Rev. Wayne House will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Cupp Cemetery in the Little Goose Community.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 25 after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel, and on Wednesday after 1 PM at the Lebanon United Baptist Church.
