Mrs. Maude Lindsey, age 95 of Burning Springs, passed away Thursday, July 8th, 2010 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital. She was born July 16th, 1914 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of David and Lucinda Johnson Buttry. She was a seamstress, a homemaker, and a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters: Linda Spradlin of Burning Springs and Sue Lindsey of Champagne, Illinois. Also surviving are these grandchildren: James David Spradlin, Shane Spradlin, and Bronson Spradlin, Lindsey Willhite, and Jennifer Anderson, and these great grandchildren: Cody, Austin, Josh, Trevor, Jasper, Julia, Kellie, Katie and Michael.
She is preceded in death by her parents: David and Lucinda Buttry, her husband: James Martin "John" Lindsey, and these brothers and sisters: Benjamin Buttry, Robert Buttry, Willie Buttry, Thomas Buttry, Nancy Margaret Robinson, and Mayme Shelton.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Maude Lindsey will be Sunday, July 11th, 2010 at 2 PM at the Macedonia Baptist Church. Rev. Charlie Goodman will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery in the Burning Springs Community.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 10th, after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
