Mrs. Mattie Minton

Mattie Irene Minton departed this life on Friday, October 3, 2014 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital. She was born April 12, 1928 to Joe and Emma (Garland) Hampton in Manchester, Kentucky. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lebanon United Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children: Geraldine Hampton and husband Wayne of Louisville, KY; Christie Hoskins and husband Travis of Chesterfield, Missouri; Joey Minton; Christine Harris; Bobby Minton and wife Sheila Kay; and daughter-in-law Cheryl Minton all of Little Goose. Also surviving are one brother and one sister: Homer Hampton and Hazel Cheek. These grandchildren survive: Kathy Walston, Dwight Harris, Troy Hampton, Tammy Heppner, James Minton, Sheri Doyle, Tiffany Boswell, Brian Minton, Roan Hoskins, Kyle Minton and Anthony Bilbrey; and 23 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents: Joe and Emma Hampton and her husband: Marshall Minton, Jr. and one son: James Russell Minton.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 5, 2014 at 2:00 P. M. at the Lebanon United Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne House officiating. Burial will follow in the Minton Cemetery in the Little Goose Community.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 5, 2014 after 12:30 PM until funeral time at the Lebanon United Baptist Church.
