Mrs. Lou Wolfe, age 89 of Manchester, passed away Tuesday, June 4 at her home. She was born May 9, 1924 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Perry and Sarah Hensley Roark. She was a homemaker and a member of the Island Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children: Juanita Reid and her husband Bobby of Manchester, Laura Fields and her husband Harold of Manchester, Betty Wilder and her husband Jimmy of Taylor, Michigan, Linda Rawlings and her husband Eugene of Manchester, and Marty Wolfe and his wife Penny of Manchester. Also surviving are 20 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren and a special friend: Betty McClure. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Etta Parks of Jackson County, Kentucky, Bob Roark of Burning Springs, Mallie Taylor of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mary Wilson of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Owen Craft of Newport, Kentucky.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Perry and Sarah Roark and her husband: Oscar Wolfe.
The funeral services for Mrs. Lou Wolfe will be conducted on Friday, June 7 at 2 PM at the Island Creek Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Ken Bolin and Rev. Wendell Carmack will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Hensley Cemetery in the Laurel Creek Community.
Visitation will be on Thursday evening after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
