Mrs. Leona Davis

Mrs. Leona Davis, age 77 of Manchester departed this life on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 12, 1937 in Bell County to Tilmon and Almira (Elliston) Ramsey. She was a nursing aide and a caretaker and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

She leaves to mourn her passing her children: Barbara King, Steven Davis and wife Charlotte, David Davis and Peggy, and Denver Davis. Also surviving are these grandchildren: Jonathan King and wife Sabrina, George Davis, Whitney Davis and Steve, Derek Davis and wife Tosha and Cassandra Davis; 3 great grandchildren: Chandler, Bryleigh and Jacob; these brothers and sisters: Fran Harper, Lewis Ramsey, Betty Campbell, Rose Ramsey, and Alan Ramsey.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Elmer Davis; her parents: Tilmon and Almira Ramsey; 1 grandson: James (Jimmy) King; and 1 sister: Marie Overbay.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Leona Davis will be conducted on Wednesday, December 3, at 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Goose Rock Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
