Mrs. Kathleen Byrd Smith

Mrs. Kathleen Byrd Smith, age 73 of Manchester, Kentucky passed away Saturday, August 22nd, 2009 at the Saint Joseph Hospital in London, Kentucky. She was born August 14th, 1936 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Owen & Bitha Sawyers Byrd. She was a member of the Baptist Church & a Homemaker.

She is survived by her children: Stevie Dalton Smith & Linda Hampton of Moraine, Ohio, Vickie France & husband Donald of Berea, Kentucky, Janet Bishop & husband Glenn of Manchester, & James Edward Smith & wife Ruth of Laurel Creek. 8 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren & these brothers & sisters survive: Delores Smith & husband Clarence of North Ridge, Ohio, J. T. Byrd of Riverside, Ohio, Imagene Smith & husband James of Laurel Creek, Conley Byrd & wife Christine of Laurel Creek, Wayne Byrd & wife Mary of Laurel Creek, & Mary Henderson & husband Bill of Eaton, Ohio.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Owen & Bitha Byrd, her husband Dalton Smith, her brother James Sams, her sister Dorothy Burkhart & her grandson Stormy Dalton Smith.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Kathleen Byrd Smith will be Tuesday, August 25th, 2009 at 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Carl Henson & Rev. George Roberts will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Sawyers Cemetery in the Gabbard Fork Community.

Visitation will be Monday, August 24th, after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
