Mrs. Jewell S. Stivers

Mrs. Jewell S. Stivers, age 86 of Manchester, departed this life on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at the Laurel Creek Health Care Center. She was born on Sunday, January 19, 1930 in Manchester to the union of Steve and Mae Bowling Sizemore. She was an elementary teacher and attended the Christ United Methodist.

She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter: Dr. Deann S. Allen and her husband James, her granddaughters: Carolyn Ann Allen and Mary Jewell Allen.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Steve and Mae Sizemore, her husband: J. P. Hillier Stivers, her brothers: Steve Sizemore, Jr., Charlie Sizemore, and Lee Sizemore, and her sister: Mallie Smith.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Jewell S. Stivers will be conducted on Saturday, October 8 at 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Scotty Sumner will be officiating. Burial will be in the Stivers Cemetery in the Greenbriar Community.

Visitation will be held on Saturday after 11 AM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
