Mrs. Irene Henson Hooker

Mrs. Irene Henson Hooker, age 87 of Garrard, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at her home. She was born September 8, 1926 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Beve and Martha Henson. She was a cook for the Clay County Board of Education and a member of the Holiness Church. Surviving Mrs. Hooker are her children: Morgan Hooker and his wife Linda of Manchester, Ruby Smith and her husband Wendell of Greenfield, Indiana, Jerry Hooker of Manchester, Buford Hooker and his wife Glenda of Manchester, and Bruce Hooker and his wife Renee of Corbin. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Mrs. Hooker is preceded in death by her husband: Hubert Hooker; her parents: Beve and Martha Henson, and two granddaughters: Elizabeth Kate Hooker and Kristy Irene Hooker. Funeral Services for Mrs. Irene Henson Hooker will be conducted on Saturday, February 15, at 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Sill Lee and Rev. James Ruth will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Manchester Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Friday evening after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
