Mrs. Dorothy Penner

Mrs. Dorothy Penner, age 83 of Manchester, passed away Wednesday, January 19th, 2011 at the Laurel Creek Health Care Center. She was born December 17th, 1927 in Jamestown, New York to the union of William and Mabel Jenkins VanGuilder. She was a homemaker and a member of the Beech Creek United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents: William and Mabel VanGuilder, her husband: Rev. Merritt “Don” Penner, her grandson: Alan Dezarn and her great grandson: Donnie Feltner.

She is survived by her children: Marvis Dezarn and her husband: Bill of London, Marcia Dezarn and her husband: Raymond of Manchester, and Marlene Bowling of Manchester. Also surviving are these grandchildren: Don Dezarn, Kimberly Goodrich, Carol Smith, Pam Brown, Tiffany Bell, Steven Bowling, and Sondra Bray, 11 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren also survive.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Beech Creek United Methodist Church.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Dorothy Penner will be Friday, January 21st, 2011 at 3 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jamie Brunk will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Beech Creek Cemetery in the Beech Creek Community.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 21st after 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
