Mrs. Debra Lee Whitehead, age 56 of the Island Creek Community passed away Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the University Of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born November 28, 1955 in Manchester, Kentucky to the union of Belph Page and Bonnie Hoskins Campbell. She was a member of the Island Creek Missionary Baptist Church and a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Belph Page and Bonnie Campbell, her special Uncle and Aunt- Herman and Helen (Dude) Lewis, her two brothers: Raleigh and David Campbell, her two sisters: Evelyn Curry and Shirley Argenbright.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years: Roy Whitehead of Island Creek, her daughter: Kristen Lee Whitehead of Island Creek and her son: Roy Travis Whitehead and his wife: Teketta of London, Kentucky. She is also survived by two grandchildren, and the following brothers and sisters: Phyllis Jean and husband Sam Wood of Eubank, Kentucky, Teresa Ann and her husband Lee Earl Adams of Brodhead, Kentucky, Helen Amburgy of Brodhead, Kentucky, Connie Lynn Jones of Manchester, Kentucky, Media Michelle Henson of Manchester, Kentucky, Larry Wayne and his wife Margaret Campbell of Manchester, Kentucky, and Jimmy and his wife Teresa Campbell of Manchester, Kentucky. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews, many of whom lovingly referred to her as “Granny” and a host of relatives and friends who will greatly miss her.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Debra Lee Whitehead will be conducted on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 11 AM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. George Grigsby and Rev. Donald Sims will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Manchester Memorial Gardens in Manchester, Kentucky.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 12, after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
