Mrs. Bessie Hicks, age 82 of Roots Branch departed this life on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at her home. She was born on February 1, 1935 in Manchester, Kentucky to the union of Floyd and Sarah (Davis) Hubbard.
She leaves to mourn her passing her children: Susan Sawyers, Juanita Hicks, Homer Henson, Zelma Caldwell, Woodrow Henson, William Henson, Norma Hacker, Lisa Hicks, and Timothy Henson; 26 Grandchildren, 30 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild. Also surviving are 1 sister and 1 brother: Allie Hoskins and Woodrow Hubbard.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Floyd and Sarah Hubbard; her husband: Houston Hicks; her grandson: Henry Henson; and her sisters: Dorothy Rogers, Lizzie Hoskins, Gracie Davis, Oda Hubbard and Susan Gabbard and 2 brothers: Joe Hubbard and Richard Hubbard.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Bessie Hicks will be conducted on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Paul Stewart and Rev. Jessie Kemp will be presiding. Burial will follow in the Roots Branch Cemetery in the Roots Branch Community.
Visitation will be on Saturday, January 21, 2017 after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
