Mrs. Beatrice Lewis, age 81 of Manchester, passed away Monday, December 26th, 2011 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital. She was born March 30th, 1930 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Alonzo and Bernice Parks Whitis. She was a retired grocery store clerk, and a former employee of Rominger Funeral Home, a member of the Island Creek Baptist Church, and a member of the Manchester Order of Eastern Star #351.

She is survived by her daughter: Patricia Hudson and her husband William of Island Creek, her son: David Lee Lewis and his friend Shirley Ann of Burning Springs, 4 grandchildren: Missy Feltner and her husband Matt, Greg Lee Lewis and his friend Ann Marie, Lindsey Fultz and her husband Chris, and Tyler Lewis and his wife: Rose, also surviving are 5 great grandchildren: Ryan, Brayden, Braxton, and Jaxson Fultz and Emma Feltner, her brother: Bobby Whitis and his wife Rita of Burning Springs, and her sister: Jeanie Roberts of Burning Springs.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Alonzo and Bernice Whitis, her husband: Gary Lewis and her brother: Eugene Lewis.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Beatrice Lewis will be conducted on Thursday, December 29th, 2011 at 12 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Kenneth Felty, Rev. George Grigsby, and Rev. Wendell Carmack will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 28th, after 6 PM with an Eastern Star Service at 7 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.

Rominger Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
