Mrs. Annie Gibson, age 95 departed this life on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at her home. She was born on Saturday, June 12, 1920 in Manchester, Kentucky to John and Sarah Downey Hooker. She was retired from the Clay County Board of Education where she worked as a cook and was a member of the Holiness church.

She leaves to mourn her passing her children: Thelma Smith, Elsie Brumley, Dorothy Gibson, Helen Goodman, Grant Gibson, Juanita Napier, Burbon Gibson, Judy Gregory, Blaine Gibson, Wanda Johnson, Johnny Gibson, Wendell Gibson, and Brenda Langdon. Also surviving are 90 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents: John and Sarah Hooker, her husband: Luther Gibson, her son: Wayne Gibson, and these brothers and sisters: Dora Minton, Kizzie Minton, Rosie Roberts, Della Davis, Bert Cooper, Mary France, and Tom Hooker.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Annie Gibson will be held on Sunday, May 15 at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Owen Smith will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Hooker Cemetery in the Blue Hole Community.

Visitation will be on Saturday, after 6:30 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
