Mr. Robert Lee Jones, age 59 of Greenbriar passed away Monday, April 12th, 2010 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital. He was born August 26th, 1950 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Kenneth and Edith Massey Jones. He was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church, a businessman, he started Jones Construction and D & J Shell, and he also worked for Clay Pipeline. He was a charter member of the Burning Springs Fire Department, a member of the Manchester Fire Department, a fireman for over 25 years, he was a former president of the Kiwanis Club and a coach of Clay County Little League, a member of the Athletic Club, a church youth leader, a Race Car Driver and a member of the National Hot Rod Association.

He is survived by his wife of over 39 years: Kathy Brigmon Jones of Greenbriar, his children: Phillip Jones and wife Sammi Lou of Manchester, Kaye Burns and husband Jason of Lexington, and Richard Jones and his special friend: Jacklyn Combs. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren: Jacob Jones, Kasey Burns and John Robert Burns, his mother: Edith Jones, 2 sisters: Margaret Jones of Manchester, and Clara Minton of Manchester, 2 nieces: Tonya Nicholson and Karen Minton, his mother-in law and father-in-law: Joan and W. P. Brigmon, his sister-in-law and her husband: Jan and Darrell Hoskins and their children: Darrell Wayne Hoskins, Kelly Joan Hoskins, and Janson Hoskins.

Funeral Services for Mr. Robert Lee Jones will be Friday, April 16th, 2010 at 1 PM at the Manchester Pentecostal Church. Rev. Dean Lawson and Rev. Charlie Goodman will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 15th, after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.

Rominger Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
