Mr. Reed Hoskins

Mr. Reed Hoskins, age 85 of Manchester, passed away Monday, March 8th, 2010 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital. He was born October 2nd, 1924 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Lee Hoskins, Sr. and Mary Messer Hoskins. He was a carpenter and a member of the Pentecostal Church.

He is survived by his wife: Lizzie Hoskins, these children: George Hoskins of Manchester, Charles Hoskins of Manchester, Billy Ray Hoskins of Laurel Creek, Darlene Gray of Manchester, Mary Betty Wagers of Manchester, Zenner Smith of Manchester, and Norma Smith of Corbin. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and these brothers and sisters: Bill Hoskins of Manchester, Theo Hoskins of Manchester, John A. Hoskins of Manchester, Mae Coyle of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Roberta Nicely of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Lee Hoskins, Sr. and Mary Hoskins, his brother: Lee Hoskins, Jr. and his sister: Pauline Burkhart.

Funeral Services for Mr. Reed Hoskins will be Thursday, March 11th, 2010 at 2 PM at the Antioch Baptist Church. Rev. William "Mann" Cobb and Rev. Owen Smith will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Blevins Cemetery in the Woollum Community.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 9th, after 7 PM and Wednesday, March 10th at the Antioch Baptist Church.
