Mr. Perry Glenn Thompson, 63 of Manchester, was born Sunday, September 23, 1951 to Aaron and Margaret Thompson. Perry was called home on Sunday, June 7, 2015. Perry was preceded in death by both parents and two siblings (Ruth Miller and Lawrence Thompson). He was retired from the United States Forestry Service, was currently a member of the 4-H Council, was just recently added as a member of the Clay County Extension Council and Board, and a member of the Horse Creek Baptist Church.
He leaves to mourn his passing his loving daughter, Rochelle Thompson and his precious grandchild, Courtney. In addition, he is survived by his siblings: Marie Lyttle (Roy (deceased), Kathleen Thompson, William Thompson (Dot), Priscilla Riley (William), Naomi Thompson, and Aaron Thompson (Holly). He has a host of nephews, nieces, grand nephews, and grand nieces. Perry was an icon with Clay County sports. Making his "All Perry's County" team was a recognition that an athlete had achieved true athletic status. Perry loved his Clay County community and it loved him back. Perry, we love you and will miss you. Rest in Peace!
Funeral Services for Mr. Perry Glenn Thompson will be conducted on Friday, June 12 at 11 AM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Anthony Lovett will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held on Thursday evening after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
