Mr. Luther Lynn Sams

Mr. Luther Lynn Sams, age 60 of Manchester, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2012 in Clay County, Kentucky. He was born September 30, 1951 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Ted and Joyce Gregory Sams. He attended the Oneida Community Church and had worked as a heavy equipment operator in the Coal Industry.

He is survived by his children: Leslie Sams of Hyden, Kentucky, and Brian Scott Roberts of Manchester. Also surviving are 2 grandchildren: Amber Lewis and Emily Lewis, 3 great grandchildren: Kendallyn, Bryson and Karen, and these very special friends: Elizabeth Barger, and Eric and Leon Caudill.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Ted and Joyce Sams, his granddaughter: Ashley Sams, and his great grandchild: Makynli Lewis.

Funeral Services for Mr. Luther Lynn Sams will be Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Phyllis Baker will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Gregory Cemetery in the Hima Community.

Visitation will be Monday, February 13 from 6 PM until 9 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
