Mr. Leslie Phillip Carnahan, age 69 of Greenbriar, passed away Wednesday, January 11th, 2012 at his home. He was born October 15th, 1942 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Clay and Florence Murray Carnahan. He was a school teacher for 30 years, a Magistrate for District 2 for 9 years, a basketball coach, an Adult Education Teacher, part of the Neighbor Hood Youth Corp, a bus driver, a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the Greenbriar Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife: Judy Rice Carnahan, his daughter: Missy Roberts and her husband: Quinton of Manchester and his son: Ben Carnahan and his wife Tina of Greenbriar. Also surviving are these grandchildren: John and Lesley Roberts and Austin and Adam Carnahan, his special niece: Cindy Hacker Dezarn and her husband Jimmy, his great nephew: Cooper Dezarn, his sister: Eliza Haddix of Fairborn, Ohio, his aunt: Mary Luther of Bloomington, Indiana, and a host of beloved cousins, friends, former players, and students.
Funeral Services for Mr. Leslie Phillip Carnahan will be Saturday, January 14th, 2012 at 1 PM at the Greenbriar Presbyterian Church. Rev. Tim Rogers will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Carnahan Cemetery in the Greenbriar Community.
Visitation will be Friday, January 13th, after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel and on Saturday, January 14th, after 10:30 AM at the Greenbriar Presbyterian Church.
