Mr. Joseph Anthony Gillahan

Mr. Joseph Anthony Gillahan, age 70, departed this life Sunday, December 21, 2014 at the Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was born October 19, 1944 to Robert Eugene and Matilda Rose (Krauss) Gillahan. He was a member of the Island Creek Missionary Baptist Church, a retired police officer, a State Department officer of Special Investigations. Mr. Gillahan was also a member of Christian Motorcycle Association and a 2nd Lt. in the Air Force where he served in Vietnam.

He leaves surviving his wife: Melissa (Doll) Gillahan; 1 son: Daniel Joseph Gillahan. Also surviving is 1 sister: Joy Carter of Oxford, Maine; 1 niece, 1 nephew, 3 great nephews and 1 great niece.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Robert Eugene and Matilda Rose (Krauss) Gillahan.

A Memorial service will be held Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 2:00 P. M. at the Island Creek Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. George Grigsby and Bro. William Hugh Hudson officiating.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 27, 2014 after 12:30 P.M. until service time at the Island Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
