Mr. James Stanley Cottrell, age 58 of the Coal Hollow Community, departed this life on Saturday, February 6, 2016 in Manchester, Kentucky. He was born on Thursday, June 27, 1957 in Manchester to James H. Cottrell and Cora Curry Turner. He was a heavy equipment operator.

He leaves to mourn his passing his children: Dustin Smith and Cylest Bilbrey both of Manchester, his grandchildren: Gradon Smith, Kalea Thompson, Kaydence Jewell, and Ryan Jewell, his mother: Cora Mae Turner of Curry Branch, his special uncle: Charles “Strawberry” Cottrell, a special aunt: Betty Benge, and special cousin: Diane Bowling. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Christine Roberts and her husband George of Curry Branch, Sheila Kay Cottrell of London, Vernon L. Cottrell of London, Sherry Martin and husband Fred of Curry Branch, half-brother: Felix Ray Cottrell, half-sister: Melinda Cottrell, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife: Theresa Cottrell, father: James H. Cottrell, and his grandparents: Bertha and James A. Cottrell, and Cleo and Dill Curry.

Funeral Services for Mr. James Stanley Cottrell will be conducted on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. George Roberts and Bro. Roger Hayre will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Cottrell Cemetery in the Coal Hollow Community.

Visitation will be held on Monday evening after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Rominger Funeral Home.
