Mr. Irvin Thompson

Mr. Irvin Thompson, age 87 of Manchester, departed this life on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at his home. He was born on Monday, February 15, 1926 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Marion and Arenia Morgan Thompson. He was a carpenter and a veteran of World War II as well as the recipient of a Purple Heart.

He leaves to mourn his passing his sons: Ronnie Thompson and his wife Joy, and Lonnie Gene Thompson and his wife Gale, 5 grandchildren: Ronnie Jr., Donnie, Jeremy, Jamie and Darlene Abner, 6 great grandchildren: Ryan and Josh Abner, Tristen, Camyle, Cadance, Jadon, Blake and Josh Thompson, and one great great grandson: Weston Abner. He is also survived by his little dog: Kirby that he called Koby.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Marion and Arenia Thompson and his wife of 58 years: Sudia Winchester Thompson.

Funeral services for Mr. Irvin Thompson will be conducted on Monday, December 23, at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Bobby Stevens will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held on Sunday evening after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
