Mr. Howard C. Rogers, age 86 of Green Street in Manchester, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, December 7th, 2011 at the Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center in Hazard, Kentucky. He was born June 14th, 1925 in Hamilton, Ohio to the union of William and Cleo Combs Rogers. He was retired from Rogers Jewelers and a member of the Horse Creek Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II where he served in the U. S. Army and was a Prisoner of War.
He is survived by his son: Fred Rogers & wife Judy of Manchester, 2 Grandchildren: Jonathan Rogers & wife Kim & Tim Rogers & wife Teah. Also surviving are the following great grandchildren: Daniel Rogers, Sydney Rogers, Emma Belle Rogers, Abby Rogers.
He is preceded in death by parents: William and Cleo Rogers, his sister: Edith Strong, his wife: Carmen B. Rogers, and his brother: Ricky Rogers
Funeral Services for Mr. Howard C. Rogers will be Sunday, December 11th, 2011 at 3:00 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 11th, 2011 after 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
Rominger Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
