Mr. Henry McQueen, age 88 of Burning Springs, passed away Wednesday, February 24th, 2010 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital. He was born June 30th, 1921 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Levi and Sarah Hurd McQueen. He was a farmer, a member of the Freedom Missionary Baptist Church and he is a veteran of World War II where he served in the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife: Rosie McQueen of Burning Springs and these children: Wanda McQueen of Burning Springs, Willis McQueen of Sextons Creek, Henry Clay McQueen of Annville, Kentucky, Stanley McQueen of Burning Springs, Jimmy Lee McQueen of Burning Springs, Joann Jackson of Annville, Kentucky, and Joyce Gay of Burning Springs. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and these brothers and sisters: Dewey McQueen of Burning Springs, Mae Robinson of Robinson Creek, Diccie Bray of Fogertown, and Elizabeth Cupp of Laurel Creek.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Levi and Sarah McQueen, and these brothers and sisters: George McQueen, Virgie Reid, Juanita Robinson, and Willie McQueen.
Funeral Services for Mr. Henry McQueen will be Sunday, February 28th, 2010 at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. James Allen will be officiating. Burial will follow in the McQueen Cemetery in the Burning Springs Community.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 27th, after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
