Mr. Delbert Smith

Mr. Delbert Smith, age 67 of Sacker went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at his home. He was born on Monday, July 3, 1950 in Oneida, Kentucky to the union of George and Nettie Collins Smith. He was a retired mine foreman for the Allen Company and a member of the New Beginnings Community Church as well as a veteran of the United States Army where he served in Vietnam.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife: Patricia Gilbert Smith, his son: Delbert Jason Smith and his wife Ginger, his step-daughter: Lori Beth Baldwin and her husband Chris as well as his grandchildren: Delbert Taylor Smith, Trevor Scott Smith, Tristan Jayce Smith, Hannah Jo Williams, Justin Ryan Williams, and Patrick James Baldwin, a special person he treated as his own son: Eric Stanley Allen and his brother: Elbert Smith and his wife: Gelemna.

He is preceded in death by his parents: George and Nettie Smith, 2 brothers and their spouses: Curtis and Mildred Smith and Elmer and Gladys Smith, his brother: Burgin Smith and 2 sisters and their spouses: Bessie and Charlie Bowling and Nina and Don Blair.

Funeral Services for Mr. Delbert Smith will be conducted on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Bobby Stevens and Rev. Shelby Deaton will be presiding. Burial will follow in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held on Monday evening after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
