Mr. Delbert Benge, age 93 of London, Kentucky formerly of Clay County departed this life on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the Laurel Heights Home of the Elderly in London, Kentucky. He was born on Friday, June 2, 1922 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Squire and Lucy Proffitt Benge. He was retired from the Kentucky Department of Highways Bridge Crew and was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in World War II.
He leaves to mourn his passing his children: Vernon Benge of London, Lucy Benge of London, Reva Males of Michigan and Wendell Benge of London and his grandchildren: Venessa Johnson, Mark Forsythe, Christina Males, Heather Males, Sabrina Benge, Corey Benge, Nathan Benge, and Sheena Hedricks. Also surviving are 8 great grandchildren, and his sister: Wilma Minton.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Squire and Lucy Benge, his children: Claude Benge, Glenn Benge, and Randall Bench, and these brothers and sisters: Les Benge, Dill Sawyers, Ivory Garrett, Nancy Cox and Pearl Gregory.
Funeral Services for Mr. Delbert Benge will be conducted on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Wayne House will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Saturday evening after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
