Mr. D. C. Downey

Mr. D. C. Downey, age 69 of Manchester, passed away Friday, November 11, 2011 at his home. He was born July 5, 1942 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Milton and Rosie Downey. He was a carpenter and was affiliated with the Holiness church.

He is survived by his wife: Geraldine Sizemore Downey of Manchester, his son: Dale Carter Downey of London, Kentucky, 3 grandchildren: Kaitlin Downey, Samantha Downey, and Jacob Downey, and these brothers and sisters: Milton Downey, Jr. of Manchester, Jessie Ingram of Hammond, Indiana, Hazel Hubbard of Edmonton, Kentucky, and Ruby Henson of Gary, Indiana.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Milton and Rosie Downey, and his sister: Martha Hubbard.

Funeral Services for Mr. D. C. Downey will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2011 at 1 PM at the Buzzard Holiness Church. Bro. Mike Gray will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Downey Cemetery in the Buzzard Community.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 12, after 6 PM at the Buzzard Holiness Church.
