Mr. Charlie Collins

Mr. Charlie Collins, age 80 of Bales Creek departed this life on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the Laurel Creek Health Care Center. He was born on Tuesday, September 15, 1936 in Manchester to the union of Eli and Mae Bowling Collins. He was a retired coal mine foreman, was a member of the Baptist faith and attended the Horse Creek Holiness Church.

He leaves to mourn his passing his sons: Charles Dean Collins and his wife Pauletta of Manchester and Paul Douglas Collins and his wife Brenda of Manchester, his grandson: Matthew Douglas Collins and his wife Stacy and his great grandsons: Hunter Douglas Collins and Jacob Smith. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Ruby Michaels of Ohio, Judy Foreman of Ohio, A. C. Collins of London, Loretta Henson, Connie Barnard, Virgil Collins, J. M. Collins, Bobby Collins and Eli Collins, Jr. all of Manchester and a special niece: Lisa Martin.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Eli and Mae Collins, his wife: Loretta Collins, and these brothers and sisters: Henry Collins, Allie Collins, Roger (Roper) Collins, Marshall Collins, and Juanita Eagle.

Funeral Services for Mr. Charlie Collins will be conducted on Sunday, October 2, at 3 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Terry Reed and Bro. Charles "Bruiser" Martin will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Reid Cemetery in the Greenbriar Community.

Visitation will be held on Sunday after 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
