Mr. C. R. Smith

Mr. C. R. Smith, age 80 of Burning Springs, passed away Saturday, July 17th, 2010 at his home. He was born October 12th, 1929 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of James and Essie Smith. He was retired from the United States Air Force

He is survived by his son: Michael R. Smith and wife Molly of Manchester, his daughter: Barbara Ledbetter and husband Marty of Monroe, Georgia. Also surviving are the following grandchildren: Cameron R. Smith, Byron Allen, Gary Ledbetter, and Tracy Nunn, and his sister: Ruby Parker of Burning Springs.

He is preceded in death by his parents: James and Essie Smith, his wife: Jean, his daughters: Sandra Gayle Smith, Mary Elaine Atkinson, and Polly Clark, and these brothers and sisters: Jimmy Smith, Jr., Goldie Estridge, Gilbert Smith, Stanley Combs, and Oscar Smith.

Funeral Services for Mr. C. R. Smith will be Monday, July 19th, 2010 at 11 AM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jerry Hurst will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery in the Burning Springs Community.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 18th, after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
