Mary Bray

Mrs. Mary Bray, age 72 of Bray Creek Road in Manchester, passed away Sunday, March 8th, 2009 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital. She was born October 11th, 1936 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Andy & Mae Barrett Byrd. She was a homemaker & a member of the Ell’s Branch Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband: Raleigh Bray, her children: Calvin Bray & his wife: Loretta “Tootie” of Burnings Springs, Alvin Bray & his wife Georgia of Burning Springs, Kathleen Lewis & her husband George of Burning Springs, Myrtus Horton & husband Bobby of Jackson County, Kentucky, Margie Mae Jackson of Burning Springs, & Melvin Bray & wife Gracie of Burning Springs. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren & these brothers & sisters: : Alice Hensley of Sexton Creek, Emma Day of Collins Fork, Ada Sester of Sexton Creek, Glenna Jean Ray of Sexton Creek, Rosie Hornsby of Laurel Creek, Jr. Byrd of Sexton Creek, & Betty Byrd of Sexton Creek.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Andy & Mae Byrd, her son: David “Buck” Bray, her daughter: Geraldine Horton, & these brothers & sisters: Estella Ray, Corbet Byrd, Bill Byrd, Ralph Byrd, Bob Byrd, Geneva Bray, & Martha McDaniel.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Mary Bray will be Tuesday, March 10th, 2009 at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Bray Family Cemetery in the Bray Creek Community.

Visitation will be Monday, March 9th, after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
