Mrs. Louise Cheek, age 81 of Manchester departed this life on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital. She was born on Saturday, February 13, 1937 in Manchester, Kentucky to the union of Ben and Gracie Smith Abner. She was a factory worker for Mid-South Electric and a member of the Manchester Gospel Mission.
She leaves to mourn her passing her son: Larry Alvin Cheek and his wife Joyce, her daughters: Linda Gail Cheek Ruth and her husband Ronnie and Melissa Richelle Cheek Jackson and her husband Eddie. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Kim Fields, Wesley Ruth, Ben Jackson and Jace Jackson, her great grandchildren: Kaileigh Collins, Braiden Hooker and Livi Grace Jackson as well as her sisters-in-law: Fredie Abner, Wilma Abner, Ruby Davis and Cledith Mills.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Ben and Gracie Abner, her husband: Alvin “Tootsie” Cheek and her brothers: Stanley Abner, Lewis Abner and Grover Abner.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Louise Cheek will be conducted on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 1 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Tess Lipps and Rev. Ronnie Brown will be presiding. Interment will follow in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Rominger Funeral Home.
