Lorene Smith, age 63 departed this life on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at the Continue Care Hospital in Corbin, Kentucky. She was born on Tuesday, March 7, 1961 in Red Bird, Kentucky to Bill and June Wagers Eversole. She was a homemaker and a member of the Heritage Pentecostal Church.

She leaves to mourn her passing her loving husband of 49 ½ years: Raleigh Smith, her children: Valeria Ann Smith, Carollee Davidson, Billy Orbin Smith, Raleigh Joseph “R. J.” Smith, Cody R. Smith and Benjamin “Ben” Smith. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and her brothers: Roy Eversole, Troy Eversole, Renus Eversole and Coy Eversole.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Bill and June Eversole, her son: Jeremy Smith and her grandbaby: Kaitlyn Faith Smith.

Funeral Services for Lorene Smith will be conducted on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 12 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Raleigh Smith will be presiding. Burial will follow in the Hubbard and Eversole Cemetery in the Paces Creek Community.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Rominger Funeral Home.
