Linda Herald Davidson, age 93 of Manchester, Kentucky, the widow of the late Rev. John Henry Davidson, departed this life on Friday, February 8, 2019 at the Landmark of Laurel Creek surrounded by her family and friends. She was born in Owsley County, Kentucky on Friday, September 4, 1925 to the union of Ben and Susie Turner Herald. She was a devoted Christian and a member of the Holiness faith. She was also a seamstress and a homemaker.
Surviving are her two daughters: Geraldine Day (widow of the late Burchell Day) and Glinda Marcum and her husband Bobby all of Manchester. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren; Bobby Day and wife Michelle of London, Kentucky, Tammy Lawson and her husband Dewayne of Manchester and Robert Marcum and his wife Renee of Manchester, 7 great grandchildren: Whitley Combs, Ryan Day, Emily Marcum, Elivia Marcum, Haylee Day, Tazia Knox and Mackenzie Lawson, 1 great great granddaughter: Layla Rose. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Rev. John Henry Davidson of 61 years, a loving son-in-law: Burchell Day, her parents: Ben and Susie Herald, 2 brothers: Wiley Herald and Charles Herald.
A celebration of life for Mrs. Linda Herald Davidson will be conducted at 1 PM on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Bobby Stevens, Jim Smith and Bobby Day will be presiding. She will be laid to rest next to her loving husband at the Ledford Cemetery in the Red Bird Community.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Tuesday evening after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Rominger Funeral Home.
